Nail-Set Upgrade
Make your Spring Tools nail sets easier to find by adding some color.
If you talk to anyone about Spring Tools hammerless nail sets, they will tell you that they love them—and that they keep losing them. To fix this problem, I dip the ends of my Spring Tool sets in a brightly colored Plasti Dip coating, a small container of which costs less than $15. It improves the ease of holding the tools securely, makes them easier to spot in the tool kit, helps hold them secure in tool-belt slots, and makes them easier to find if they’re accidentally dropped. If you do try this, make sure you don’t coat the spring portion of the set.
