PVC Cap for Caulk
Use a scrap of PVC trim to form a tight seal on tubes of caulk or sealant.
I’d like to add this to the long list of ways of how to keep caulk from drying out after it’s been opened. From a scrap of PVC trim, cut a piece that’s about 3/4 in. square and 3 in. or 4 in. long. Then drill a 1/2-in.-dia. hole a couple of inches deep in one end. Push this cap onto the tip of the tube of caulk. It’s almost a perfect fit, with just enough resistance to create a tight seal and prevent the caulk from drying out.
