Free Captive Pipes and Cables
Safely remove wires and water lines that are running through studs during demolition.
Here’s a tip for safely removing cables, pipes, water lines, or whatever else from a stud that is part of an existing wall that’s being removed or relocated. Simply cut into the stud above and below the cables to the same depth as the hole that the cables run through. Then just give the wood in front of the cables a whack with your hammer to set them free.
