Battle Bleed-Through
Use this tip to protect trim when painting the wall around it.
High-quality painter’s tape does a great job at preventing paint from getting on surfaces that you don’t want paint to get on. However, no product can prevent bleed-through 100% of the time. Here’s a tip for protecting trim when painting the wall around it. After the trim paint has dried and you have installed the painter’s tape on the edge of the trim, cover the intersection where the tape meets the wall with a little trim paint using just the tip of your brush. This will create a better seal, and any paint that does bleed through will be the matching trim paint rather than the wall paint.
