Save Time Snapping Lines
If you have two people, and two chalklines, tie them together and snap lines without walking back and forth.
I always keep two tied-together chalklines in my toolbox. This saves a huge amount of time when snapping a series of long lines with two people. Having two lines allows each person to stay on their side without having to walk back and forth to retrieve the end of the chalkline after every snap. Instead, after snapping a line, when one person reels in their line, it automatically pulls out the other person’s line coated in fresh chalk. This technique is especially helpful when each person is on a scaffold or climbing a ladder.
