A Modern Texture With Historical Roots
Papyrus pavers combine a distinctive clay-like texture with a design inspired by ancient Egyptian paper, offering a modern twist on traditional concrete pavers.
Most concrete pavers are either smooth or have a flagstone texture, but the new Papyrus pavers from Belgard offer something different. These pavers feature a distinctive texture that resembles dried clay more than stone. They convey a modern vibe, which is sort of odd given that the design was inspired by the plant-based paper used by the ancient Egyptians.
Papyrus pavers are available in two colors, Sepia and Scandina Grey, and are manufactured in 3-in. increments, which reduces cutting and waste when creating unique patterns with multiple sizes. The sizes are also compatible with other Belgard collections of pavers and patio features if you want to mix and match or design contrasting borders and highlights.
Papyrus is about $9 to $10 per sq. ft. and can be purchased through Belgard dealers. Visit belgard.com to find a dealer in your area, and check out the company’s comprehensive design and visualization software.
