Steam Out Scratches
A wet rag and a hot iron can take care of marks on unfinished wood.
Here’s a tip that can help remove a scratch from an unfinished wood surface, as long as the scratch is not too deep. Use a wet rag and a hot iron to raise the grain on and around the scratch, let the surface dry, and give it a quick sanding—no more scratch.
