Improvised Hammer Loop
When you have no tool belt, use a scrap of 12-ga. electrical wire.
On my last job site, I realized I forgot my hammer loop. Several times I found myself grabbing for my hammer, and it wasn’t on my belt like it was supposed to be. Then I noticed some scrap 12-ga. nonmetallic sheathed cable nearby. I took an 18-in. piece, added two sharp “U” bends at the ends, and slipped it down over my belt. With the middle folded up, it made a surprisingly adequate substitute.
