Elly Hart is a 4th-year apprentice carpenter and former journalist currently working towards her Red Seal journeyperson certificate. Born and raised in Australia, she moved to Canada in 2012 and picked up woodworking as a hobby, which inspired her to give up her desk job and pursue a career in construction. She signed up for a pre-apprenticeship program in 2015 and has since worked on single-family home renovations and multi-family new builds. Elly keeps a photo journal of her apprenticeship and job-site experience on Instagram.
