Emanuel Silva

From the age of 9, when he helped his uncle repair his home while on summer vacation, Emanuel Silva knew he wanted to be a carpenter. For the past 18 years, he’s been remodeling old homes in and around Boston, attending carpentry seminars, and writing about his jobs. Silva lives in an old bungalow in North Andover, Mass., that he, his wife, and their three sons continue to renovate on the weekends.
