Georg Efrid

Green plumber Georg Efird got his start in the trades 17 years ago as a plumber’s apprentice. While earning $4.25 an hour as an apprentice, he started his own company without starving or going broke. Georg now runs A2Z Plumbing Contractors Inc. in Asheville, N.C., where he encourages water conservation and is an accredited green plumber.
