Jesse Thompson is a principal at Kaplan Thompson Architects in Portland, Maine, and serves as the firm’s director of technical and digital practices. Jesse, who designed our energy-smart home of the year in 2013 with architectural designer Richard Lo (Fine Homebuilding #235), is the first architect in northern New England to become a certified Passive House consultant and is a founding member of the newly formed Maine Passivhaus Alliance. Jesse and his family live in a remodeled ranch-style house in Portland.
