Matthew Swett and his wife are co-founders of Taproot Architects, an integrated architecture and landscape design firm on Whidbey Island in Washington. Before launching his own practice, Matthew developed sustainable-design guidelines for the global architecture and engineering firm Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum, and was co-director of the University of Oregon’s Solar Information Center.
