William B. Rose is a former builder and woodworker who‘s done research on heat, air, and moisture in buildings. He is currently Senior Research Architect at the Applied Research Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of Water in Buildings (Wiley, 2005), and he wrote the chapter on building envelopes in the 2019 ASHRAE Energy Guideline for Historic Buildings.
