A Buyer's Guide to Bath Fans: Ceiling Insert

A single fan with a housing that mounts between ceiling joists is called a ceiling insert. Panasonic’s energy star-rated WhisperGreen fans are available with compact-fluorescent bulbs. Broan’s decorative models include metal trims in oil-rubbed brass, satin nickel, or pewter. They can be vented out the roof, as shown here, or a sidewall.
