I don't know if you are familiar with American Venice in Lindenhurst, but it was started around 100 years ago, and the Town of Babylon is trying to resurrect it. Anyway, my great grandfather was involved with it - he made the cast lions that are down at the entrance to the canals and he also made the two concrete bridges down there. They lived on 16th Street. Parts of my family still live there, unfortunately most of them I no longer talk to! Ray Kuehnel of Kuehnel Sheet Metal on Main Street is a cousin, and if you ever go to Nick's Smoke Shop on Wellwood Avenue, just north of the tracks, they're family too. Small world. Good luck with the sale.
