This is a picture off of the plan of the front.
*4500 sq.ft. Garage ? I could live upstairs
*The Crew Holding up the turret wall-you slackers!
*Next week pictures of the roof framing
*The archy wasn't trying hard enough. They coulda gotten several more roofs in there.
*No Doubt Luka-I can't wait to see the turret roof framing.
*1 3/8" decking over silent flooring
*What do two people do in a house this big? Play hide and seek all day?
*There is a ramp to underground parking at this end. That must for the servants? Then there is an elevator from the basement to the top.
*Bob,

*LOL Joe-If I had all the money in the world I wouldn't build a house this big.A 40'Tolley sportfish motor yacht maybe, and a nice little home on the water with my yacht parked out front so I could sneek down for a nap now and then.hehe
*...decadence......Newf...
*Bob: Does it need a curved stairway? Ha
* Stan,

*Good Idea! Stan- send me some cards and come and visit Washington for some R&R after the steps are installed of course.
*bob.. just got a peek of the view in that last pic..must be quite spectacular to warrant this house...
*Right on! Mike- Beautiful view looking out toward snow capped Mt. Baker and Lukaville. It sits on 27 acres so no one will build in front of them.
*I wonder how this rage in super sized homes will fare the next few years? It gets kinda ridiculous how they build 'em bigger and bigger and only two people may live there. Some will only spend a month of the year in them. At least that's the way I see it in the McManshion neighborhood I work in.Ten years ago 5,000 sf was considered huge. This link shows what the high end market looks like in my area and it's a county with a pop of 250K or so. These are homes/condos listed over $10M. I was trying to find Cal neighborhoods that exceeded what I saw here, and couldn't.I'm sure Long Island and CT have some dense Mc neighborhoods? http://houseandhome.aol.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListings.asp?pgnum=1&st=fl&areaid=88461&areaid=11200&areaid=39969&areaid=3246&areaid=32543&areaid=11904&areaid=94046&areaid=2928&areaid=25138&areaid=7530&ct=naples&frm=bymap&gate=aolhouseandhome&typ=1&typ=2&typ=3&mnprice=10000000&mxprice=99999999&pgsz=6&sid=C699F39554004FC89DE8CD27EA635C18&source=a2an1t1t442Darn, that's a freakin long url..lol
*I haven't looked at that site in some time, but I noticed one home is off the market that was listed at a shade above $10M. A builders spec home which I did all the hardwood installs. Last I heard they owed my mentor $30K on a $60K job. That was back in June! The floors were finished in July. So where's the money? I got paid, but geeesh. That particular job can be found in the construction techniques archives under?? Oval or elliptic stair nosing....It doesn't look like a money problem for the builder, but they did overdo the place with too many desecrator opinions and actions. I'm kinda green on spec homes and the place was delisted, yet the proud sign of the builder remains on the property.Yea, they would have private showings on the weekends during the final construction process and didn't allow work on the weekends. I'm guessing it's been sold and the more I think about it, you don't see sale/sold signs on the front lawn in these neighborhoods.
*Hey-Where's the mote. This thing just won't do until the mote goes in. Yea, and a drawbridge...
*We have one going in nearby that is 18,000 square feet.I just rated a home for the energy star program that was 8,700 sf for a couple with 3 kids. The bonus room was larger than my house!Bob, have them call me when the place can't be heated in the winter, or makes those giant icicles. Actually, they will probably wait until their artwork starts drying out in the winter, then they'll call.I'll guess 11,400 CFM50-Rob
*No wonder they're rationing wood to the rest of us.
*We're doing an 18,000 sq. ft. RANCHER!(see http://www.highlinerconstruction.com ), the Langley home, Sorry Stan no stairs) I was hoping to do stairs, but....
*Phil: We could still work in a curved stairway going up to a door to the attic? ha
*..up to the customer's ego maybe, this is definitely a "mine-is-bigger-than-yours", kind of guy.
*Phil- I tried that highlanderconstruction.com and it wouldn't come up. Are you sure about the name? Bob
*Bob, it's http://www.highliner.com, highLINER not lander..I think the owner's been to sea,Billy, but is not a Scot.
*...p.s. look under current projects, then Langley.
*Sorry Phil-I better increase the magnification of these specs to 150 instead of 125.hehe
*Bob, Is this out by North Bend? Looks like another MS extravagance.....
*SamD-this house is on the Issaquah/Fall City road where they clearcut about 5 years ago-just above the Boeing farm.
*this is definitely a "mine-is-bigger-than-yours", kind of guy......and he' drives a Hummer? I suppose?

*Hey, just read in the Vancouver Sun.....A new log house being built in B.C. for either Colorado or Oklahoma (it was a long name)....108,000 sq.ft.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*I'm recession-free until June of 2002. Signed a contract to Frank Sinatra for a 7000 sf 3/4 X 1 1/2 Quartered White Oak floor, 4500 sf with plywood on slab installation (floating), sand, stain and three coats of polyurethane. GW
*So is it old blue eyes ?
*Greg, will it make the house payments? How's that coming? Did you shoot anyone yet? Joe H
*They just have the same name. Interesting though. The job is 117K. It will definately make buying the new house alot more comfortable. Things are getting easier at the lot since I got involved with the project management for Centex, San Diego. They are getting the things done that I have requested. They are still sitting on the repair to the post tension slab. Apparently, the plumber that jack hammered the slab to move a drain, snapped one of the tension rods. They claim that they are waiting for engineering to give them the fix before they start the repair. I will be taking alot of pictures and they know it.GW
