*I wonder how this rage in super sized homes will fare the next few years? It gets kinda ridiculous how they build 'em bigger and bigger and only two people may live there. Some will only spend a month of the year in them. At least that's the way I see it in the McManshion neighborhood I work in.Ten years ago 5,000 sf was considered huge. This link shows what the high end market looks like in my area and it's a county with a pop of 250K or so. These are homes/condos listed over $10M. *I haven't looked at that site in some time, but I noticed one home is off the market that was listed at a shade above $10M. A builders spec home which I did all the hardwood installs. Last I heard they owed my mentor $30K on a $60K job.That was back in June! The floors were finished in July. So where's the money? I got paid, but geeesh. That particular job can be found in the construction techniques archives under?? Oval or elliptic stair nosing....It doesn't look like a money problem for the builder, but they did overdo the place with too many desecrator opinions and actions. I'm kinda green on spec homes and the place was delisted, yet the proud sign of the builder remains on the property.Yea, they would have private showings on the weekends during the final construction process and didn't allow work on the weekends. I'm guessing it's been sold and the more I think about it, you don't see sale/sold signs on the front lawn in these neighborhoods.

*They just have the same name. Interesting though. The job is 117K. It will definately make buying the new house alot more comfortable. Things are getting easier at the lot since I got involved with the project management for Centex, San Diego. They are getting the things done that I have requested. They are still sitting on the repair to the post tension slab. Apparently, the plumber that jack hammered the slab to move a drain, snapped one of the tension rods. They claim that they are waiting for engineering to give them the fix before they start the repair. I will be taking alot of pictures and they know it.GW
