It doesn't come with any extensions, and I don't know if there are any available. You might want to check with various Home Depots in your area. I bought mine from the one in Ridgeland, MS for $499. Yes, that is the new 12" sliding compound miter saw! I have heard that several Home Depots around the country have the same deal, but not all of them. So look around.
You may also wish to consider the Hitachi 12" slider at big blue, reg price $649.
I have seen several different prices in the south east Penna. area. One i saw at $508, one store had it for $418 and one had a display with no blade or dust bag for $329 (not a typo).
Here in Houston there is a small shop called Circle Saw. They sell the saw with a free 1/4 sheet sander and 1 3/4 hp router that come in the box with it, no waiting for rebates. That 12" slider has been put up against the Kapex that sells for $1300. I say if you got the cash , get it. I'll just be jealous till my 700 bones are saved up!
I keep looking at mine and it's always 7 bills. The second it goes to 5, I'm going to hustle over with 10% off coupon and buy... then the Dewalt goes on Craig's list where I'll get $250 for it no problem..That'd be one sweet upgrade for $200.
I dont know how long before Milwaukee is forced to lower the price of that saw. Its a great tool but $700 is way to much, considering how much the Dewalt and Makita cost.
