My neighbor has about 2000 bd. ft. of 15″ wide pine planks for sale. These are boards from trees he felled and he sawed the planks out himself. They’re about 12′-14′ long, rough-sawn to about 7/8″; he estimates 95% is the wide boards with the balance smaller. There are some knots but the boards are about 80% clear, or the knots can be left in for rustic appearance (that’s what he did for the floors in his house). The boards have been stickered and stacked about 3 years so are well seasoned. He’s asking $5.50/bd.ft. To contact him:

Remind me to buy my #2 Grade wide-pine somewhere other than Gardiner, ME. Seems a mite expensive, unless milled, delivered, and installed.
Same response here. I am close enough to Gardiner to run get it but I can find wide pine milled to flooring patterns for around $3.30/bd ft. At the rate quoted, D select milled on one side at least and delivered would get a little attention, unless this is something spectacular re close growth rings and hard cured with no staining.
But thanks for posting anyways. Maybe he'll get more attention from putting it in Uncle Henry's

Ow! The price quoted is me displaying my ignorance, I guess. I suggested it to him thinking boards this wide would justify it for flooring. I'm sure John would come down, he just wants to move it. He also said he could have it planed 2 sides if desired & factor it into the price. I'll relay you folks' responses. Give him a call if you have any interest, he'll dicker.

I printed it out to look at better later.
Any possibility of sending or posting digital photos of grain and the lot?.

Unfortunately not - I don't have a digital camera and John has no "technology" whatever. As I said, he used these boards on his floors and they look nice to me. if you're close enough to Gardiner (actually Pittston) to jet over I think it'd be worth your time.
Is this white pine?
I could use those bad boyz but not at that price.....might even be going to Maine this Xmas.....Brunswick...near Freeport.
Let me know what he comes down to....
Be well

Brunswick is about a half hour from here. Give John a call; I've let him know the feedback and I'm sure you can agree on a price.
