Hi there;
Considering a new 16 gauge nailer as I am having problems with my old Duofast clone, and there are some new features like depth of drive I wouldn’t mind having. Under consideration are Hitachi, Grex, and there is a smoking sale price at a local store right now on a Senco Finishpro 32; main uses would be the usual trim work in hardwoods and MDF. I have a Hitachi 15 gauge I use a lot, and an 18, and my plan is to add a 23 gauge and a 21 gauge so I’m not sure how much use a 16 will get….used to use it a lot unitl I got the 15. Thanks for your advice.

All my guns are Senco and most are old..................but continue to provide the quality fastening we require.
However, I do have a PC pinner that's served me well-tho limited in pin length to 1". To do over, I'd have to say I'd go head and headless pins capable of longer lengths.
But to your question-I found a great deal on a Senco FinishPro 35 a couple yrs ago and couldn't pass it up as it takes 2-1/2" nails. While not my go to gun for alot of trim, it has performed well in all woods. The depth ga. is a nice feature and is pretty accurate in setting. Rudimentary dial up/down nose pc.
The Senco FinishPro 25 I have for brads has been a real workhorse and only one problem in driving which was taken care of at no cost by my supplier-he prodded the rep and the rep came through.
I've had such good luck with Senco I'd be hard pressed to go anywhere else (and hoping all the while that the quality of the past is continued on into the future.
Thanks Calvin. That's helpful; can't find too many opinions on the FP 32 but people must have them.....once upon a time I wouldn't have questioned Senco on quality, but worried things are changing.

Are they still good? tough question but the FP 35 I have is working out fine, it's the newest I have. The FP25 I've had several yrs, so no way that answers the question.
I see the 32 is a straight nailer-however the back end is clipped so it should not be too inconvenient in a corner-but perhaps might be awkward toenailing straight on. Not often done, but nice to be able to when needed.
Specifically, I have read complaints the Hitachi doesn't set the nail, quality probelms with the Grex (others say it's one of the best tools out there), and re: the Senco, has the quality dropped off there or are they still quality guns?
16 rocks the interior...
I use 16 gauge mostly when it's interior. Depth of drive adjustment is almost a must in my book and I favor Bostitch for the most
part.
Bostich
Thanks; I used to use 16 gauge a lot too, probably will again. I've used them but never owned a Bostitch gun; they are all over the place here, except, for some reason, the 16. It was on my list to cnsider but I'd have to order it in.
