   Are 16 gauge nails (2 inches long) strong enough for hanging hollow core doors? Do they meet code? If not, what would?

   I'm concerned about the 4 doors I just hung with my new 16 gauge nail gun. Today, I noticed that I can easily bend the 16 gauge nails with my fingers. Before hanging the remaining 6 doors, I want to get some advice.

   I would like my work to stand the test of time.
