I’m about to buy one of the Senco pinners and trying to decide between the 18 gauge and the 23 gauge. If you’ve used the 23 gauge, what are its limitations? I do trim, build cabinets, and built-in stuff.

If you don't have the 18g I would get that, the 23g is for very fine work where you want the brad to either not show or the work is very delicate and a 18g might split it.
I use both but you aren't going to use the 23g for any kind of case work, I use the gun to pin my stick and cope doors together, the nail wont show. Also the 23g can only shoot a 1" max. brad.
I certainly could live without the 23g, but what the hey, it was another gun and I had to have it!

Yeah, I was leaning that way. The nail length being my biggest interest.
I'll go with Doug, get the ½"-2" 18ga for your trim/ cabinet work. The 23ga is for fine detail work.
