Umm,......No,... not yet.
I will admit that ryobi is the best thing to happen to do it yourselfers since hgtv. I could see where a guy might have use for one of those babies. Have you had a good experience that you would like to share? I used an electric chain saw for quite a while to cut my floor joists to length. Then I found the large diameter worm drive. Great for birds mouths and joist cutting. A little heavy for everyday use though.
I don't know anything about their 18v chain saw but a guy I worked with quite a lot had a new Ryobi multi battery tool kit and it seemed that any of the tools had a run time of about 5 minutes. Not really adequate for any of my purposes. Don't remember what voltage it was. Personally, I wouldn't buy a Ryobi anything.
If you really want one, buy it it at Lowes or HD and that way, if you don't like it you can return it with no problems.
I got one as part of the 18volt kit , its really a joke , I use a mul the recpricating saw , for the jobs that I would normaly use the chainsaw for.
on the whole Im happy with the 18volt kit , well worth the money in my opion , just not the chainsaw
