18v Milwaukee Impact Driver and cordless drill set
Does anyone have any good or bad experience to share on these tools? Amazon has a set of these with two batteries for $199 which seems like a great deal to me. The Amazon customer reviews were are all very good on this set, but I never know whether to believe those or not.
Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out:
Thanks

That's a good set from what I can gather, but it has the compact batteries, which may be OK, unless you are really using the tools heavily. The XC battery is a higher output battery, that of course costs more.

I am not a pro, so I was thinking it would be sufficient for me.
maybe too late but
the compact battteries wont work if you decide later to get the circ saw or sawzall.
Yes. A company I was working for gave them out. My luck I had to settle for the Makita. Dang it!
Good kit.
corded option
My experience is with light, but regular use, I'm working on my fourth cordless drill. I finally wised up and got a RIdgid that has a lifetime service agreement on it, including batteries, which I've already replaced once. I have found that buying two new batteries can quickly reach the point of "just buy a new tool, get new technology and new charger."
When shelling out a couple of bens for a tool, I'd want it to last, so I got the Makita CORDED impact driver as a Xmas present from my family. As far as I know, they're the only one that makes one of these, other than corded impact wrenchs, which is not what I wanted. I've used it a few times already with tood results. And it's good to know I can go the whole day and not have to swap a battery if I need to.

And no battery failure.
Rigid has abandoned it's customers on the battery warranty issue. Read about it on their own website!
