I’m researching materials used in my family’s house in Laguna Beach, begun in 1925. One room was completely tiled in what looked like pressed sawdust geometric “tiles”. they must have been glued to the mostly non-vertical walls and ceiling. Does anyone know a “brand” name or other information on this product?

I don't know anything about them. But if I had to mess with them (removal, repair) I'd have them tested for asbestos first. If they tested positive, that wouldn't stop me from doing the work. It would guide my process.
