These are both out of Ipe. One has Garapa decking incorporated, which is very blond. The freestanding is in a bathroom, the customer wanted a place to sit when taking off his wetsuit after surfing. The other is at a front door to sit when removing your shoes, I surprised him with the inlay which he loves.

Thanks
Every time I start considering posting pics of my work one of you guys make me ashamed of thinking that my work is good. Thanks for the post.
Post some pics of yours. I held on the the bathroom bench pic for over a year and the other for a couple months thinking the same thing.
Nice work!
How you holding up with the fire right now?

Fire here in S.B is basically out other than some smoldering trees and such. Some friends of ours had to evacuate but they are back now. Sadly many others here weren't that fortunate. House we are working on was pretty close, but is fine.
That's good.

Nice stuff man....that inlay looks great. Before reading through your post and opening the close up pic, it looked as though you had stenciled it. Nicely done!
I may be picking nits here....and it could just be the angle of the photo.....but it looks like there's a screw head that's a tad proud of flush in pic 2619.

Ya got me :) yeah I saw that too, that screw broke and since it is just a bench I opted to glue it back in rather than try to angle another one in and ruin the looks of it, I need to pull it and grind it more to get it to sit flush. I work at his house a lot.
