$250,000 Truck

ProDek | Posted in Tools for Home Building on October 10, 2003 09:46am

This guy will put your rock or dirt anywhere you want it. He can drive this rig with his remote. I was amazed at how accurate he could be standing outside of his truck. That is him on the right movin the Kenworth back and forth and swinging the conveyor wherever.

Sure beats movin it by hand

Stone-slingers, we use them all the time. They can haul 20 ton of gravel and unload it pretty precisely in a half hour for about $20/ton material included. Made getting gravel out of the cement mixer a thing of the past.

That looks likme one of those crammed-full neighborhoods. Ick.

They aren't too popular around here yet, but I've heard of them.

I've also heard basically what you said - That it was amazing how well they could place gravel and stuff. It would be neat to see one work sometime.

    Q. How do you know when you're really ugly?

It's just the back thats remote control right?  not the whole rig?

Actually he moved the truck up and down the hill from his remote. He can steer and drive it like a little remote control car. Kinda scary isn't it?"Rather be a hammer than a nail"

Man when I worked on the railroad years ago we could of used one of those things, they always liked to dump the rock 30' away from where it was needed and then we all grabed a shovel and carried it by hand. Hard to believe the RR's are hurting.

That looks like the neighborhood below that last deck you built?

Alright smart azz, I worked on the railroad back in the late 70's(1970's) Small railroad and they did everything by hand, they were succesful because they took care of their track, hell we spiked by hand, now thats a treat.

So yea, I'm older than you but not as old as that old man IMREC. (see if that wakes him up)

No Jeff, I just looked over this guys fence when we were building his deck.

Or should I say while the boys were building the deck and I was taking pictures.
