Hi, I’m a builder building my personal house. Most of what we do in our area are slabs. And if we do crawlspace or basement we typically use 3/4 advantech. I’ve seen some videos online about upgrading to 1 1/8th, and I went with edgegold for cost reasons. I have it on site and am not impressed vs advantech. To use 1 1/8th advantech is around $100 a sheet vs the $50 I paid for the edgegold. Is this something I would regret later (it will save around $7,000) I do have like 28ft spans in the basement via floor trusses. But I have them 16oc.
