4 deg diference on either side of…
the basement door. It’s WARMER on the basement side! I don’t get it. The room is set to 68. Basement door closed and pretty tight and it’s 72 on the other side.
Here’s the layout…
Full depth, old New England style, 100 yr old basement. Big boiler at one end of house sends very hot water to the middle of the house to a SpacePak heat exchanger which then blows high velocity air up into the house through a ‘back-bone’ pipe which has smaller branch arms that feed the rooms on the first floor. I’ve insulated the water pipes from the boiler to the SpacePak.

Big (older?) boiler probably not too efficient. Waste heat heats basement.
What are you checking the temp with?
A 4* difference with 2 thermometers side by side is not unheard of
NAIL IT !!!
