Needed new blades for my Craftsman 19.2 v trim saws. So I went out and got a deal on 10 of them. Now come to find out they are 5/8″ and the Craftsman wants a 3/8″ arbor. Anybody know where I can get such an arbor reducer?

Use these assembly techniques when installing crown risers and molding to minimize visible gaps and nail holes.

stripper washer from a machine shop supply house, or MSC real cheap, or bronzebushing at a bearing house
A machined bushing, sliced thin. Hardware stores have them, but you'll have to slice them yourself.
Just doublecheck the size - I'm thinking it's 10mm (.394"), not 3/8 (.375). I'll check mine when I get a chance.

Thanks Don. I didn't use calipers, so perhaps you are right.

Most any real tool store will have a pack of misc size bushings to allow for diff blade arbor hole sizes.
There's a few I've been to where you can sort through them and buy them individually.

Check to see if the removable bushing/arbour screw is reversible. I had a Sears saw and it was reversible, so it could accept two manufacturers blades.
Have a good day

I don't remember the brand but I have bought assortmant packs that have all different sizes of arbor bushings that are made for that purpose.
I do know that harbor fake tools carries such an item too.
The blades actually did come from Harbor Freight. I couldn't find any reducers on their web site though.
Rick
harbor freight has a pack of about 6 bushings for 3.00. larry
