I have to ask, in the Anniversary issue pg 77 there is a hinge stick jig for installing doors and hinges correctly. There are adjustable bumpers on the jig that allow for a consistent gap on all doors. Looking at the photos the distance from the cup edge of the hinge to the case edge just doesn’t make sense. When I install doors with euro hinges I put both pieces of the hinge together then use a 1/8″ inch shim between the door and case then attach the plate to the case. Works everytime. Can anyone enlighten me on this jig? what am I not seeing?
Thanks

The most common way to make your own parging mix is to use either Type S mortar for block or Type N for brick and add a concrete bonding additive.

I'd be seeing a doctor..you seem to have an endless supply of bumps.

I think he is using hinges with a very wide swing - perhaps way past the usual amount of, what - 120 degrees?
Take a look at the hinge shown just above the photo - it could just be the hinge design itself that requires the cup to be so far into the door.
Glad to see ya haven't lost a sense of humor.
