Sign for the Kenai Penninsula Winter Games. Also underbid but cool anyway.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

I can't believe there have been no posts to this thread.
Neat project. I take it that you are a carpenter and this was a project you stumbled into, "Ask Matt to do the sign he's got a bunch of tools and he keeps them in his truck"
Nice work.
*Matt:That is awesome. To bad for warm weather...huh?
*Matt, Nice, looks like a real fun job.
*Hey Thanks Guys- I thought it was a pretty cool little project but thought since it had nothing to do with wood it didn't cut it for "The Gallery". The ice the Games organizers got for the sign had about 8" of nice, clear ice and then about 10" of cloudy, overflow ice that had to be slabbed off of there to get the nice shine through effect. That wasn't so bad but stacking that top panel on 8" with a donated and in a hurry boom truck was a little tense. I wonder if it is going to melt down this spring or fall over? I really appreciate the input.
*Winter games goodDodge boo!
