Working out on Vinalhaven lining wooden gutters on this house. All the rest of the house is slate except for this shed.
3 tabs worn out for quite a while — slots burned right thru and leaking badly this morning so Dan the H O and I used some scrap copper to buy some time until he can strip and Grace it.
Salvage slates there to be laid down the road a little.

How much time do you think that will buy them?

We were going to be in the path of Kyle with 4 to 6 inches of rain predicted so this was a short term measure to buy a few weeks until he has time to strip and prep it for slate.
It wasn't meant to be long lived just a quick way to keep most of the rain out while it was raining.

we always just blue tarp it, good for years.
that works too if you happen to have a tarp handy.

Get a couple 5 gallon cans of roof in a bucket. And some brooms or mops. Getcha another couple years.
Those up on the 'green building' movement, use the green, or brown tarps, of course...
