I would like to install pex tubing above the sub floor, sandwiching the tube with 3/4″plywood cut at a bevel. Are the aluminum plates placed over the tubing and under the plywood strips? Where can you buy the aluminum plates? I live in British Columbia, but very near Seattle, or Portland.

Here's what we did a couple yrs ago. No bevel, the plates fit in the gap between the rips. The arcs were routed out using a half or 5/8's bit, the drops were then placed inside the turns, leaving the gap for the hose.
Get the plates b/4 you lay this out so there's a nice fit.
