I need to make an attic access hole in a 1×4 t&g ceiling (t&g not up yet).
No ladder necessary.
anybody have any great ideas to make it as non visiable as possible.

Probably, taking a T&G board and splitting it in half for width, and using the cut peice to make a "bread board" edge to "collect" the various ends of the boards, and match that on the hatch as well.
Might depend on the "how" of the hatch, hinged hatch will want a little bit different detailing than a drop-in sort of thing.
Might be just as simple as getting some backbanding to match your t&g, and use that to make a frame.
