Accuset 23ga

FastEddie | Posted in Tools for Home Building on April 19, 2008 11:02am

Local Craigslist has an Accuset 23 ga pinner for $15.  Looks good in the picture.  Is it a decent tool?

Seems like I have heard some negatives but how could you go wrong at $15?  I have the cheap Bostitch and am very happy.  Cheap 23 ga pins at HF by the way.

Accuset was a product of Senco, not a very good one either!

    Yes, I have no complaints.

It was the only thing around when I bought mine, lots of choices now.

1" pins max, but it's not for framing.

All I can tell you is that I've got an Accuset 1/4" crown stapler.

Over ten years and many thousands of staples and it still works perfectly and I've never had to repair it.

    I wasn't a big fan of mine.

But it did get me thru till I upgraded.

and I think there were a couple versions ... a buddy has a different looking one ...

and aside from the "pins left to proud" problem they all share ...

his hasn't broken down like mine did.

and he solved the not counter sunk problem by belt sanding the tip down an 8th.

Here's a picture.  I got an email back from the seller that someone is looking at it today, if they don't buy then it's mine.

    A100MP Accuset A10 Series-23 Gauge Micro Pinner. Uses Lengths 1/2 inch - 1 inch.
    Brand new.

Someone has to "look at" a $15 tool?

You waited too long, it's gone.

I'd buy another in a second for that price.

I know.  The seller did not list a phione number, so i sent an email the same day it was posted.  No other choice."Put your creed in your deed."   Emerson
