What are your opinions on the pros & cons of fiberglass or acrylic tub & shower units. The only acrylic ones I’ve seen are a one piece unit with a ceiling. The fiberglass ones are usually just a one piece tub with walls only.
The acrylic seems to cost almost 3 times what the fiberglass does.
I’m most concerned about durability & appearance over the long run. My DW is most concerned about ease of cleaning.

If what you want are prefab walls and base, with durability, and something that will look good for a long time coupled with low maintenance then I would suggest going with a "Swanstone" shower base and wall kit.
