ADD-0N Front End Loader forks and thin
I thought I would post this link to a pals site…he makes fork attachments of various sizes that clamp onto the bucket of FE loaders …
He has helped me through some very rough times this past year and I tought I would try to drum up some more interest for him.
also, something that is not on the site yet is a three point hitch rig for moving fifth wheel trailers .
Thanks ,
Tom

Red Green once had a show about a similar project using a Towncar to make a backhoe. The duct tape bill was a bit high to make it practical though.
huh?

A buddy of mine has forks that clip onto his backhoe FE bucket. It's a big backhoe and we were able to get plywood up to roof height when we were framing his house.
how long as he had them?

They're old lookin'... he bought them from the rental shop after they had been sitting rusty out in the yard awhile with no takers.
I have no idea idea of the utlity of these things, but he has been selling em for several years ...and Northern Tool recently took on the line.
They seem to be one of those things you wished you had just for that "one " time.......

I've used some of those fork thingies. They work O.K., but not great. They're a pain to take off and put back on.
The best bet is to get set up with a standard quick attach bucket setup. Then you can drop your bucket and pick up your forks in a pretty short amount of time.
With the clamp-on forks, the load is a lot further forward than with the quick-attach forks. That can sometimes be a problem, depending on what you're picking up.

Regarding the trailer hitch you mentioned - My Uncle made one for me that works on the 3 point hitch. Sure is handy to use.

I use the forks on my bobcat as much as i do the buckets... (i have a backhoe 909 attachment but it's about to go on ebay just not the hot ticket if you have to dig much) there are always welded up quick attach bare flat plates on ebay that you can put about anything on... I made/converted my forks from farm 3 point forks... longer than most skid steer forks... I use them about 99% of the time on a 753 which does not have enough #### to lift a bunk of 2x4x8's or a full pallet of bricks i have a 55 gallon drum rigged to lip/latch onto the rear that if i really really need to lft the weight i can add the drum and 55gallons of water weight for more ####... that or u can just get 3 brave/stupid guys to climb on back...
for a regular 2" tralier ball I welded up a bucket clamp on plate, that has a 2" ball (only with the toothed bucket it locks between & behind two teeth)
my next purchase will be a small tracked track hoe... just would seem fun to own one... already think'n how to mount a core drill on the end for drill'n horizonal thru brick & concrete walls

Pontyl,
Will that 909 backhoe attachment work on my '96 753? What do you want for it and can it be shipped? Got a picture? I might be interested if you don't want to deal with the Ebay hassle.View Image
it has the trailer hitch looking attachment i have the 2 mounts on my bobcat mine is a 753 a 2000 or 2001 i think... but i'm sure it's the same as yours... the bucket is not a bobcat bucket not sure of the make but it's a 14 or 16" bucket way too big unless you are just digging sand... i've had it maybe 4-5 years... was used to dig graves before i got it... i have a total of maybe 5 hrs use with it in the whole time i've had it... for me just more trouble than it's worth plus the bucket is too big for the hard dirt here... though i'd haul it to the lake and clean our banks with it but never did... i think it's a 5 on a one to 10 scale might be a 7 to some or a 3 to others... i think it's worth $1500... i paid 2k for it and another 200 for the mounts... at the time i thought it was a deal at 2k... if i remember right it might have 1 weld on the whole unit... but not 100% on that... shipping would be a bear prob more than it's worth... i have a lift on site and can load it... but it'd be hard to secure it to anything to ship...
I haven't put it on ebay because i haven't wanted to deal with shipping...

Thanks for the info, but that bucket is just way too big for New England soils and my little machine. And you're right, I think shipping would be prohibitive. Hope it sells for you and thanks for responding.View Image
You should see if you can post a similar link on tractorbynet.com. They have a wealth of info and products for compact utility tractors and the many of the readers seem to spend lots of money on add-ons.
thanks for the tip, will check it out.

Forks look like what the tire guy used to put my loader wheels into my truck bed. Pretty sure he was about to capacity, both for the forks and the tractor. Worked very well and went on easily.

I wondered how they work in the "real" world.......:)the guy in blue looks like he's about to be crushed..

Photographer was his wife (gathering evidence?). We both survived. My compact tractor loader did our lifting, but the forks at the tire dealer were better. Notice the front tire deflection. ~600 lbs.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
Hey, I just saw these in the Northern Tool catalog and was thinking of buying a set. Guess I'll get them from the source, thanks.
Your welcome & Thank You.....
