Anybody know how to get rid of the advertisements that sit on top of posts? I can’t seem to get rid of them. It’s usually toward the bottom of the screen. I got around it by changing the post order from oldest first to newest first.

I never see any advertisements because I use firefox and adblock plus, with a few custom filters for this site.
But anyway, all the advertisements I see when I turn off adblock plus have an X in the top right corner that can be clicked on to close them. The advertisements on this site are well behaved.
I use Firefox with AdBlock and I still do get those "ghost" ads floating over things at times, though usually on the "recent posts" list vs an individual thread. Clicking around a bit will make it go away.
For IE, security has to be set to max and cookies disabled, but then you have to log in each and every time also.
One thing the ads have done for me, I will NEVER buy any sikkening product, and will avoid HD whenever possible.
