I’m helping run a Roll-off container business, and we are looking into putting advertising on our dumpsters. Has anyone else out there tried this?

Might work.
Not sure it is legal. A lot of municipalities, and nearly all HOAs have restrictive ordinances, and rules concerning advertising.
They would probably allow an identifying sign on the dumpster citing ownership. And, most would definitely allow a contractor's job sign so the folks would know who to complain to.
Just not sure any of them would allow signs for bars etc., that are the high value advertisers.
