I’m in the market for a compressor and have been looking at the new single tank Emglo. I like some of the features included but I haven’t seen anyone using one, which makes me suspicious. I’m also wondering if DeWalt bought Emglo or if they have an agreement to use their name.

I just got one of the new 3/4 hp single tank emglo compressors seems to be a very nice machine it will keep up with two trim guns all day no problem. Dewalt did buy emglo though and I'm told tahat they will be turning eveything yellow and using some lower quality parts good luck
Yeah, that new Dewalt/Emglo low profile twin tank is a nice design, don't know anyone who has one, going price is about $340. I did notice that one of my suppliers (Western Tool Co.) had this same compressor without any yellow paint or the name Dewalt- was blue with all the characteristic Emglo graphics. If I were gonna be buying one, I'd go out of my to get it without the yellow paint- tired of the yellow stuff.

I've had a portable twin tank Emglo for several years and it's served me reliably.
My only complaint about most all of the compressors out there is the flimsy drain valve petcock. I've replaced all mine with an industrial type petcock available at air-tool or welding supply stores.
So far, I have resisted the yellow brand of tools, but hopefully they won't pretty-up and cheapify the Englo.
I've used the twin tank Emglo a for a while as well and feel it is the standard for compressors that size. Two things I like about the new single tank model is the ball valve drain and mainfold for two hoses. Sounds like Emglo is going to be all yellow soon so I better get a blue one while I still can.
Thanks
