Living in SE Texas, I’m concerned about moisture collecting between the house wrap and fiber- cement siding. It seams like a good idea to provide a small gap (about 1/2″) between the sheathing and cement siding using furring strips on 16″ centers. This will leave a path for any moisture to excape without causing damage to the sheathing or possibly worse. Any experience or other input?
