has anybody ever used keruing as decking? my hardwood supplier (oliver lumber) sells it as truck flooring, so i i think it’s pretty durable, but i don’t know about exterior use. it’s (to my mind) a lot more attractive than ipe, and a lot cheaper.

I've never heard of Keruing.
We use Cumera and Tiger Wood as alternatives to Ipe. Both are a little cheaper, I know we have a used a different alternative for 4x4 posts that look just like the Cumera but don't know exactly what it is. The supplier just slips it in when he does not have enough stock of the other.
Check a decking store or diferent larger lumber supplier.
