.the aluminum awning covering my wonderful front porch is in need of a facelift.yes,i have considered replacing with canvas just as i considered granite countertops.the awning does not leak and has a neat scalloped edge.problem is,i need to remove in one piece in order to prevent tweaking beyond use.this joker is 20’long and if that’s not enough it curves around the end of the porch another 7′.i thought about setting up scaffolding and enlisting the help of a few friends-someone even suggested a crane.any input would be greatly appreciated.help me in preserving a piece of americana-then you’re all invited over for a wee dram.
