I landed an exterior renovation with aluminum soffit and fascia over 20+ yr. old fir framing.NO WAY can I get aluminum nails into that fir.Anybody ever use an air nailer for this? Are there 16 ga. strip nails in aluminum for this application? My finish nailer does the trick but I’m afraid of those steel nails.

a hand stapler works real well for the soffit as for the fascia I've worked with old oak fascia and had to predrill all the nails time consuming but......... good luck
*Try stainless steel ring shank trim nails . I don't use aluminum nails any more. The ss nails stay put , will not pull back out like aluminum. Don
*Thanks.I have also since found out that air staplers[pref. narrow crown]seem to be the tool of choice here in western Canada.
