Alright... we need to take up an offering to get green a new digital camera. The current one ain't doing justice to the workmanship.

That's a scan of a photo. I reducued it for the dial ups.Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
I recommend the current model of my camera; Olympus Camedia C-740. Consumer Reports liked it too. About $260 clams.
It is a mid-level camera featurewise.. More features than a point-and-shoot, but not a full-blown professional model. 3mp sized shots are big enough to 8x10 print. One of its key features is a 10X optical (not digital) zoom.
Or for less $$$ you can get a point-and-shoot jobie with maybe 3x optical zoom.
A friend who liked using my 720 bought the 740 and sent me the attached pics (I shrunk them down) last spring. Maximum zoom really makes a difference.

And from my 720. 8xoptical, 3x digital. shrunk pic size down. I was standing in the same spot for both pics.
Oh, did I mention I liked both those roofs? I'm not a big fan of cedar, but copper gutters look nice with cedar. And copper roofs are always neat.

Well, since I hijacked the thread with camera talk, howabout if I hijack it back to the roof?
What is a ballpark price on materials of a roof like that ?

I own 2 digital cameras. Dale recently split up with his SO. She kept "their" digital. He bought a disposable to take those two pics. He snapped both pics as he finished up. I'll go around and take digitals later.
Materials? - Probably $500-$600 if you count the waste, which there is quite a bit. But, most of it eventually gets used somewhere else (Step and counter flashing, hold down clips, etc).Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
awesome bro!!!

No- all we did was this bay and some gutter repairs on this house.Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
I didn't word that right. I meant, what would you CHARGE someone for the roof (uninstalled). Just a ballpark number.
Once in a while my prospective project houses have bump-outs or similar features with small roofs. I like the look of cu (both new and aged) and like its lifespan.

You want to materials and fabrication labor only? I charge $.10/lin ft for a shear or a bend. If it's radiused like the example, I upcharge from 10% to 50% depending on the tightness of the radius. I'm currently retailing 16 oz copper at about $2.80/ft sq. I'm very competitive in my market. Your market may vary significantly. My installer charged about $500 including tearing off the old roof and drying it in. Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!

Thanks for the numbers. This area is pretty sad for Cu roofing-gutter contractors.
I was already keeping you in mind for built-in gutter liners... now I'll add bump-out/accent roofs to the list.
And if I ever hit the lottery, I'll be asking you about WHOLE roof prices ;)
I've still got copies of that roof you made for the karl in CA (one of his pics attached). Really an attention getter. jt8

No matter how loud they whine, not everybody here is on dialup...I say post 'em big<G> Don't worry, we can fix that later!
