Cut a couple of fingers today.
Table saw.
Glancing blow – band-aids, steristrip.
I’ll be back at work tomorrow.
Just because someone got me angry and I did not calm down before I starting work again.
Dumb, dumb, dumb. Milwalkee, Bosch, Rigid, DeWalt – they don’t manufacture new fingers.
Quality repairs for your home.

Good to know you still have them - I spent some time looking for my grandfathers thumb once. I stayed away from table saws for years.
We all know better - but thanks for the reminder.
hopefully that warning will last you the rest of your life...
Glad you're okay - I worry every time I reach past the blade. Don't need to see you in JLC's safety issue. Maybe this'll warn all of us for a couple of weeks.

Glad you're OK.

Glad to hear your fingers are still atached.
Look at the bright side - At least you didn't have a whole bunch of people standing around watching you mess up.

When people stop to watch, I sit down and take a break. Don't need an audience.
Glad I read this. I try oh so hard to be safe, every day, every minute, especially using power tools.
So what did I do? Drove a nail set damn near through my ring finger.

Rich BeckmanAnother day, another tool.
I had a similar accident when I was a teenager- just broke the skin, but it scared the cr*p out of me.
Glad to hear it wasn't worse.
Next time take your aggressions out on the person who made ya mad before you use the table saw. ( just kidding, but it can be tempting)
Glad you're okay and good luck. I know the feeling. I took off my finger print and then some last week with a power planer.
Mine was pure stupidity.
Yesterday's news here at Rochester: Guy fell on his circular saw on top of the roof cutting his chest! He will be ok. I can just hear the converstion at dinner that night, how was your day dear?
Man falls on circular saw, cutting open chest

August 30, 2006 1:03 pm — GATES — A Rochester man slipped and fell on a circular saw cutting open his chest today while working on the roof of a home.
Phillip Dondorfer, 27, of Rochester was cutting a hole on the peak of the roof at 85 Hickory Manor Drive when he slipped and fell on the circular saw he was using, said Lt. Jim VanBrederode of the Gates Police Department. He reportedly sustained a deep cut in his chest, but retained consciousness.
Apparently, he did not fall from the roof.
Dondorfer was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries that were not life-threatening, VanBrederode said. He was in the hospital's emergency room at noon, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Dondorfer was part of a crew from the Rochester-based roofing company Todd E. Fritz Inc. The company was re-roofing the structure, VanBrederode said.
Officers today plan to notify the Occupational Safety & Health Administration of the accident, he said.
Dondorfer was treated and released from the hospital late this afternoon.

Man, glad to hear you're ok. I will admit that I do not use a guard, and there are times it scares the hell out of me. I'm sure this will scare away any complacency for a long time. If it's any consolation, let's hope your misfortune makes everyone else who learns of it just a little more safety-conscious, perhaps saving some stitches/blood/digits in the process.
