Was wondering if anyone is familiar with installing the double sliding insect screen for a Anderson 400 series French Inswing Door.
I’ve exausted myself trying to find an install video and even called Anderson and even they hard a hard time finding anything as well.
The situation is that this gliding screen install requires a 3 pc molding to be attached to the door frame and a track extension to be attached at the base of the door. These are supposed to be attached prior to installing the door. The base extension was installed but the 3 pc surrounding molding was not-at the time of door install.
Supposedly the 3 pc molding kinda “rolls in” to the door frame (according to the rep at Anderson) and then gets “riveted to each other” at upper corners and then screwed in at bottom from underneath through the sill extension.
My situation is that the door is already installed. It has the sill extension at base in place but not the 3 pc molding (head and 2 sides). So obviously I cannot attach at the bottom location. So am wondering how to best secure it at that location and also if there is a way to just screw the moldings to the frame without obstructing the gliding screen or being unsightly? I was hoping I could just find an install video or such to give me some insight on how this goes together but it was dropped in my lap with no info and no real guidance from Anderson. There is always a way, just need to figure it out!
