Tile-Redi makes a plastic shower pan liner designed to be tiled directly over. It’s been written up in FHB (#80, p. 98) and also advertised in the magazine. I tried to install one last week and it didn’t go well (their instructions are terrible). The installed pan has too much flex to support tile. I’d love to hear from anybody who has experience with these things. How did you install it? How did you tile over it? Is it holding up?

Geeeeze, Kevin. Haven't you finished with that house yet?
I was planning to use one of those liners for a bathroom remodel myself. Think I'll give it another thought now, though.
Hi to all.
