Any feedback on Andersen “A-Series” windows & patio doors?

After much searching & sleepless nights I’ve finally found a window that looks to be “all that”. It does come at a price, though. Hoping there’s some forum experience here so I don’t make a costly mistake.

Then maybe someone can point me to a more lively forum where I can get an answer to this?
A livelier forum, yes, but no guarantees about the answer business:

The Andersen A is a great product and Andersen is a great ccompany
Do you recall that I asked you about Andersen a couple of years ago? I'd been hearing bad things about the company.
The place I work at now sells Andersen windows. We have a fair number of people comeing in for warranty service on various things. So far the company has been great about taking care of anything that has come up. The people I've talked to have all been polite and helpful.
I sure feel different about them now than I did a few years back.
Andersen has been around for a long time, and generally they've produced very good (though not aways great) products -- exceptionally good "value". Like any company in business for decades with hundreds of different products, they've had "clunkers" from time to time, but they've been good about warranty service, parts availabilty on some very old units, etc.
But I know nothing about their recent products.
The A-series has all the features I want in a window. Good-looking jambs, smooth sliding, no ugly silicone caulking & fingerprints in the corners like on the 400 line.
I want a window with real wood inside & a weatherproof exterior. I don't trust aluminum-clad windows because I've read many seemingly legitimate complaints of water getting in behind the cladding on the sash & rotting the pine beneath. The cladding is just snapped over the wood & there doesn't appear to be any sealing at the miters. The A-series looks to be composed of a wood interior and a composite exterior, bonded together in the middle, interior of the weather seal. Today I placed an $11,000 order so I hope they've done their homework.
